What are the challenges?
Our client, in the retail apparel business, had to process a large number of customer orders downloaded from Sharepoint to a spreadsheet. The data was not grouped by customer orders, so there was additional work when the spreadsheet was finally loaded.
For each customer, an employee needed to go to the routing site and process the orders for the current customer (sometimes multiple orders per customer), then save the results of the released orders into a new tab of an Excel Spreadsheet.
At the end of the process, they had to upload the spreadsheet, with the results of the released orders, then send a confirmation email. The full process was taking two resources around an hour apiece and was leading to backlogs.
How did Lanshore deliver the solution?
Lanshore was able to use RPA to replicate the process and reduce the time it takes down to eight minutes. Our client is looking into their processes for other ways to utilize RPA for efficiency.
In delivering the process the UiPath RPA solution was used. Lanshore worked with the customer to create a PDD document, specifically using screen recordings to understand some of the nuances of what their process was.
After the screen recordings were gathered, the RPA build was constructed and executed. In doing this Lanshore was able to evaluate the process for this order fulfillment system and recommend additional enhancements.
