Enterprise SPM for CRM and ERP Integration

Enterprise SPM integration connects the systems that feed and consume incentive compensation: CRM opportunities and crediting in, HRIS roster and hierarchy in, payouts to payroll and accruals to the ERP out. Lanshore designs and builds these data flows with validation and reconciliation at every step, using direct APIs and MCP where systems expose them and RPA where they do not.

Who it is for

Enterprise RevOps, compensation, finance, and IT teams running incentive programs across several systems of record: a CRM such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho; an ERP or finance system for bookings, invoices, and accruals; an HRIS for people and reporting lines; and payroll. It fits teams whose commission data still moves by export and upload, whose payouts and finance numbers disagree at close, or who are adding an SPM platform to an established stack.

The problems it solves

Crediting depends on CRM data nobody validates

Commissions are only as accurate as the opportunity, account, and territory data underneath them. Missing owner fields, split percentages that do not total, close dates edited after the fact, and accounts reassigned mid-period all flow straight into payouts. When nobody validates the feed before calculation, the comp team finds these problems one dispute at a time, after statements have gone out.

Finance actuals and comp numbers never match

Many plans pay on bookings from the CRM while finance invoices, recognizes revenue, and books commission expense in the ERP. Without a reconciliation between the two, accrual estimates drift, period close stalls on manual tie-outs, and auditors ask why commission expense cannot be traced to source transactions. The gap usually grows quietly until a quarter-end or audit exposes it.

The roster arrives late or by hand

New hires, leavers, promotions, leaves of absence, and manager changes live in the HRIS. If they reach the SPM platform late or through manual entry, people are paid on the wrong plan, the wrong quota, or the wrong hierarchy, and corrections land in the next cycle as retroactive adjustments that reps and managers have to be walked through.

Brittle, person-dependent transfers

Exports, scheduled scripts, and spreadsheet uploads accumulated over the years tend to fail silently: a renamed field, a changed screen, or a rotated password breaks a feed, and nobody notices until statements are wrong. Often one or two people know how the transfers work, and the process stops when they are out or leave the company.

How Lanshore delivers it

  1. 1

    Map every data flow

We document each flow into and out of the SPM platform: source system, object, fields, frequency, transformation, owner, and the control that proves the data arrived complete. Typical inbound flows are CRM opportunities and splits, ERP bookings, invoices or cash, and HRIS roster data. Outbound flows are payroll payouts, ERP accruals and journal entries, and statement data back to the CRM.

  2. 2

Choose the integration pattern for each flow

Where a system exposes an API, we integrate it directly. Where a platform offers an MCP server, as Performio does (CaptivateIQ lists its MCP server as coming soon), agents can query comp data through a standard protocol. Where no API exists, we build RPA with UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate, and we use n8n for workflow orchestration. The pattern follows each system's capabilities, not a preferred tool.

  3. 3

    Validate before calculation

Every inbound load is checked before it reaches the calculation engine: record counts against the source, required fields, split totals, valid hierarchy references, and changes to closed periods. Failures go to an exception queue with the offending records attached, so the comp team fixes data before it becomes a payout error rather than after a rep complains.

  4. 4

    Reconcile what goes out

Payroll files and finance postings are reconciled back to the SPM platform's approved results each cycle, and comp totals are tied to ERP actuals at the level finance needs. Every transfer is logged, so audit can trace a payout from the source transaction to the payroll line.

  5. 5

    Run, monitor, or hand over

Integrations need attention as source systems change. Lanshore can run them under managed services, with agents watching loads and flagging anomalies under human review, or hand them over documented so your IT team owns them. As a UiPath Gold and Fast Track Partner, we build automation on patterns the vendors support. Lanshore has integrated SPM platforms with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, and ADP, plus billing, order management, and data warehouse sources: more than 20 distinct source systems across our engagement history.

Enterprise SPM for CRM and ERP Integration: FAQ

Which systems does an SPM platform need to integrate with?
Usually four groups: the CRM for opportunities, accounts, and crediting; the ERP or finance system for bookings, invoices, cash, and commission accruals; the HRIS for the roster, job changes, and reporting lines; and payroll for payouts. Many programs also pull quotas and territories from a planning tool and send statement data back to the CRM so reps see it where they work.
Should commissions be calculated on CRM bookings or ERP actuals?
It depends on what the plan is meant to reward and when the company considers a sale final. Many enterprises credit on CRM bookings for timely visibility and then true up against ERP invoices or cash. Whichever basis you choose, the plan document must state it and the integration must reconcile the two sources every cycle.
What does Lanshore use when a system has no API?
RPA. Lanshore builds bots with UiPath and Microsoft Power Automate to move data through a system's user interface when no API is available, and uses n8n for workflow orchestration. In one engagement, Lanshore automated a daily sales and territory tracking process that consumed 8 to 12 hours a day across two employees, reducing it to 20 minutes.
Can Lanshore integrate our existing SPM platform without replacing it?
Yes. Integration work is usually done on the platform you already own. For a Fortune 500 high-tech company, Lanshore replaced a manual transfer of commission data between financial systems and the CRM with an automated integration that validates every transfer, removing the dependency on the few people who knew the steps.
How do AI agents fit into SPM integrations?
Agents sit on top of validated integrations, not in place of them. They monitor loads, flag anomalies such as unexpected volume changes or outlier payouts, route exceptions with suggested fixes, and log every action for audit. A person approves anything that affects pay.
