Key takeaways
- A mid-market Xactly project is decided by three things: how the partner handles your exceptions inside the system, how it connects Xactly to your CRM, HR, and payroll data, and who runs the cycle after go-live when you have one comp admin or none.
- Seven of the eight firms appear on Xactly's own partner directory; Lanshore implements and operates Xactly but is not listed there, and says so.
- Very few partners publish anything specific to mid-market buyers. Ackle publishes the team sizes it serves; Salesdrive and Sands Partners are described by Xactly as fast or flexible; the rest publish nothing on company size.
- Support after go-live ranges from a retainer that runs the monthly close (Ackle) to managed operations with agents and human review (Lanshore) to staff augmentation and ad hoc support (Canidium, Delbridge). Get the model in the statement of work.
- Every firm here is held to the same rule, Lanshore included: claims come from Xactly's directory or the firm's own pages, dated in the sources, and the list is alphabetical, not ranked.
The best Xactly implementation partner for a mid-market company is the one that will still be useful in your second plan year. Getting Xactly Incent live is a well-understood project, and every firm on this list works on it in some form. What separates them for a mid-market buyer is what happens around it: whether your exceptions get built into Xactly or end up in a spreadsheet beside it, how cleanly Xactly is connected to your CRM, HR, and payroll data, and who runs the cycle when your one comp administrator is on vacation in the week statements are due. This comparison looks at eight partners and sorts them by what Xactly and each firm publish on those points.
What a mid-market Xactly project actually involves
Mid-market comp programs are rarely simple. They are usually a handful of plans with real complexity in one or two places: a split rule for overlay sellers, an accelerator that changes by quarter, a clawback on churned contracts, a new product with its own rate. They are run by one or two people, often in finance, who also close the books.
Xactly is built on a fixed object model. That is a large part of why finance teams like it: the structure is predictable, and the commission expense side is strong. The cost of a fixed model, in my experience, shows up in exceptions. Whatever the model does not represent cleanly tends to get handled outside the system, in a spreadsheet, and in a company with one comp admin that spreadsheet quietly becomes the real system. A good Xactly partner finds those exceptions in design and decides, one by one, how each will live inside Xactly. A weak one finds them in user acceptance testing and documents a workaround.
The other half of the project is data. Commissions depend on the CRM for bookings and crediting, the HR system for roster and effective dates, billing or ERP for actuals, and payroll for what was actually paid. In a mid-market company those feeds are often owned by different people with no comp background. The partner who owns the integration design owns most of your accuracy.
How we compared
- Inclusion rule. A firm is listed if it appears as a services partner on Xactly's own partner directory, or publishes Xactly implementation services on its own site, and publishes enough about its Xactly delivery (method, integration, or support model) for us to describe it.
- Evidence rule. Claims come from Xactly's partner directory and partner pages or from each firm's own pages, listed in the sources with the date we read them. Where neither publishes something, the table says "Not published". No ratings, no guessed pricing, no analyst quotes.
- Order. Alphabetical. Nothing here is a ranking.
- Not listed. Global systems integrators on Xactly's directory, including Cognizant, KPMG, Argano, and Customertimes, are left out by choice, as in our other partner comparisons, because their Xactly work sits inside broader practices. ZS and ProcDNA are listed by Xactly but focus on life sciences. Latitude 39, also on Xactly's directory, is an incentive compensation product for small and midsize businesses rather than an implementation partner. Xactly's own implementation and Strategic Services teams are the vendor.
Lanshore is one of the eight. Its entry is held to the same evidence rule and uses only what Lanshore publishes, including that it does not appear on Xactly's partner directory.

Only one firm, Ackle, publishes the size of the sales teams it serves. Everyone else leaves mid-market fit to the first call, which is fine, but ask for a reference at your payee count.
1. Ackle Consulting Group
Ackle appears on Xactly's partner directory, which describes it as offering integrated strategy consulting, software implementation, sales data management, and BI services, with more than a decade of SPM expertise. On its own site, Ackle says it was founded in 2015 and serves sales teams of 50 to 5,000 sellers, and it implements Xactly alongside Varicent, SAP SuccessFactors, CaptivateIQ, and Oracle. Its implementation is described as configuring the platform, integrating across CRM, ERP, and HRIS, testing against real payout history, and training administrators, with plan elements modeled against last year's actuals before anyone signs.
After go-live, Ackle runs managed services on a monthly retainer sized to the team rather than a seat count, covering monthly close, plan changes, disputes, new-hire setup, and executive reporting. It also publishes AI work for comp teams, including an assistant that answers rep questions from the plan document.
- Strongest on: an Xactly build tied to a retainer that runs the monthly cycle, for companies without a dedicated comp administrator.
- Ask about: Xactly references at your payee count, where the delivery team is based, and the retainer scope in the first plan year.
2. Blue Horizons Group
Blue Horizons is listed on Xactly's partner directory as an Xactly partner providing end-to-end services. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, it publishes four service lines: advisory, implementation, enablement, and managed services. Advisory includes incentive compensation plan design, solution selection, and SPM readiness assessments. Implementation is described as end-to-end on a proprietary methodology the firm says shortens project timelines, across eight elements that include requirements alignment and source system integration. Managed services are on-demand operational and technical support tailored to the client's comp calendar and plan changes. Its partners page links implementation pages for Varicent, Xactly, and CaptivateIQ.
- Strongest on: a readiness assessment before the build and a structured implementation, followed by support timed to your comp calendar.
- Ask about: how many of its implementations were on Xactly, and what the eight implementation elements look like in a project plan for your plan count.
3. Canidium
Xactly's directory describes Canidium as a key Xactly service partner that has done implementation and managed services work on more than 500 projects since 2010, the largest Xactly track record of the eight. Canidium's own pages name SAP, Xactly, and Varicent as SPM partners and describe calculation automation for tiered, split, and multi-dimension commission structures, a research view that traces transactions from receipt to final calculation for dispute resolution, and readiness as a product: annual sales plan readiness and implementation readiness. Managed services are described as maintaining and optimizing solutions, with technical health checks and staff augmentation, and the firm cites four global offices.
Its Xactly consultant job postings describe delivering for enterprise clients, so ask how its mid-market work differs.
- Strongest on: depth of Xactly experience, readiness work before the build, and complex calculation structures.
- Ask about: mid-market references and team size on a project like yours, and the managed service scope in writing, since its managed services page covers all of Canidium's practices.
4. Delbridge Solutions
Delbridge publishes the most detail on Xactly delivery of any firm here. It describes itself as a trusted Xactly partner with certified Xactly professionals, implementing Incent, Operational Sales Management, Analytics, and Xactly Sales Planning, and working alongside Xactly's own professional services team. Its implementation covers requirement gathering, configuration, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post-implementation support, with functional requirement documents, integrated design documents, and an operations guide as named deliverables. It describes Xactly Connect as an SQL-based ETL tool that integrates with ERP, CRM, HCM, and payroll systems.
After go-live, Delbridge describes managed services as an augmentation of your staff, with production support and enhancement and ad hoc support as needed. Its broader SPM managed services page mentions clear SLAs and escalation paths without publishing targets. Offices are in six countries.
- Strongest on: documented Xactly delivery and Xactly Connect integration, with written deliverables you keep.
- Ask about: SLA targets, which the pages allude to but do not state, and mid-market references.
5. Lanshore
Lanshore implements and operates Xactly Incent: plan builds, integration with CRM and ERP, health checks and rescue engagements for underperforming deployments, and migrations in either direction, onto Xactly or off it when requirements change. It does not appear on Xactly's partner directory. It implements nine SPM platforms and resells none of them.
For mid-market buyers, Lanshore publishes a mid-market implementation offer built around parallel runs: the old process and the new platform calculate the same periods side by side, every payee is reconciled, and cutover happens when the remaining differences are explained and signed off. It scopes timelines after assessing plans and systems rather than quoting a standard duration. Across engagements it has integrated more than 20 source systems, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, and ADP. After go-live, clients choose between running Xactly themselves with documentation and support, or Lanshore managed operations, where agents run data loads, calculations, validations, and exception queues with human review and every action logged.
- Strongest on: Xactly plus the work around it: integration, parallel runs, and a managed operation for teams without a comp admin.
- Ask about: Xactly-specific references at your size, since Lanshore's published mid-market results do not name a platform. It publishes no support SLA or coverage hours.
6. Salesdrive Technologies
Salesdrive appears on Xactly's partner directory, which describes it as an SPM and ICM partner delivering rapid, cost-effective implementations and outcomes-first services. Its G2 vendor profile describes it as a provider of Oracle CX and Xactly ICM solutions based in Dallas, Texas. That is the extent of what we could verify: a positioning that suits mid-market buyers who want speed and cost control, without published detail on method, integration, or support.
- Strongest on: a stated focus on fast, cost-effective Xactly implementations.
- Ask about: everything the pages do not cover: team size, method, integration scope, references at your size, and support after go-live.
7. Sands Partners
Sands Partners is based in Wrocław, Poland. Xactly's partner page describes it as fully enabled on Xactly products, with a track record of implementations across regions and industries, more than 15 years in sales performance and incentive compensation management, and a team that offers flexibility for implementations of any complexity with efficient delivery timeframes. Its services span incentive compensation, sales performance management, and revenue intelligence.
- Strongest on: Xactly-enabled implementation capacity with a European delivery base, which can suit companies with European sellers or time-zone needs.
- Ask about: US references if you are US-based, overlap hours, integration scope, and the support model after go-live.
8. ZINKT
ZINKT is listed on Xactly's directory as an implementation partner with years of experience integrating Xactly with Salesforce, and Xactly's own CRM Accelerator for Salesforce, which lets companies manage compensation plans from inside Salesforce, was described by Xactly as powered by ZINKT. A Salesforce integration listing describes its professional services as Salesforce consultation, integration development, and Xactly Incent configuration and project management. ZINKT also builds its own Salesforce apps for revenue operations.
- Strongest on: the Salesforce side of an Xactly deployment, for companies whose crediting data lives in Salesforce.
- Ask about: whether it delivers full Xactly implementations or the Salesforce integration layer only, and how its own apps relate to an Xactly recommendation.
How to choose
Start with your exceptions. List the five things your current process handles by hand: the split nobody can configure, the retro adjustment for a late booking, the clawback, the one-off SPIF, the new hire mid-quarter. Ask each finalist how each one will live inside Xactly. The answers will sort them faster than any capabilities deck.
Then look at your data owners. If your CRM is Salesforce and the crediting logic lives there, weight Salesforce integration heavily, and confirm with Xactly which connector you are entitled to, since Xactly says it is standardizing how that integration is delivered. If your actuals come from billing or an ERP, ask who builds and monitors those feeds and what happens the first month one arrives late.
Third, decide who runs it. A mid-market company with a trained administrator can run Xactly with occasional support. One without should buy the support model before it buys the build: a retainer, managed operations, or staff augmentation, written into the statement of work with what happens in the first plan year.
Finally, insist on at least one full cycle in parallel before cutover, reconciled to the payee. It is the single cheapest insurance you can buy on an implementation, and the partners who resist it are telling you something about how confident they are in their build.
Frequently asked questions
Who are the best Xactly implementation partners for mid-market companies?
It depends on what you are short on after go-live. Ackle publishes the team sizes it serves and a retainer that runs the monthly close. Canidium has the largest Xactly track record of the eight, more than 500 implementation and managed services projects since 2010, according to Xactly. Delbridge publishes the most detail on Xactly Connect integration and documentation. ZINKT specializes in connecting Xactly to Salesforce. Lanshore implements and operates Xactly with agents and human review. Blue Horizons, Salesdrive Technologies, and Sands Partners are on Xactly's directory with less published detail.
How long does a mid-market Xactly implementation take?
None of the eight partners publishes a standard Xactly implementation timeline. Lanshore says it scopes the timeline after assessing plans and systems, because a two-plan spreadsheet migration and a multi-plan platform move are different projects. The drivers are the number of plans and payees, the number of data sources, and whether statement history has to migrate, so ask each partner for a timeline against your plan count and source systems.
Should we use Xactly's own professional services or an implementation partner?
Xactly offers its own implementation services and a Strategic Services consulting group for readiness and optimization, and some partners, Delbridge among them, describe working alongside Xactly's professional services team. A partner earns its place when you need integration work beyond Xactly, someone to run or support the monthly cycle afterward, or advice that is independent of the vendor.
Do we need an Xactly partner after go-live?
If you have a trained comp administrator with time to make plan changes, run validations, and handle disputes, you may only need occasional support. Many mid-market companies do not, and the first new plan year is where unsupported implementations tend to drift into spreadsheets. Decide before you sign whether the partner will train your admin and step back, provide support on demand, or run the cycle for you.
How does Xactly connect to Salesforce and other systems?
Delbridge describes Xactly Connect as an SQL-based ETL tool that integrates with ERP, CRM, HCM, and payroll systems. For Salesforce specifically, Xactly's trust site says it is standardizing how its Salesforce integration is delivered, with the Xactly-provided connector included only for customers actively using it. ZINKT is an Xactly partner that specializes in Salesforce integration. Confirm which connector and which partner will own each data feed before you sign.
What should a mid-market company ask an Xactly partner before signing?
Ask for a reference at your payee count on Xactly. Ask how the partner will represent your hardest plan component inside Xactly rather than beside it. Ask who builds and owns each integration feed. Ask how many full cycles they will run in parallel before cutover. And ask exactly what support looks like in the first plan year after go-live, including who makes plan changes and at what cost.
